The Artist Behind the Camera
Over the past decade and across more than 200 weddings, my mission has been to craft a one-of-a-kind experience for each couple I work with. On your wedding day, I'm not just an observer; I'm a versatile companion. I wear many hats, from offering words of encouragement to placing your veil, bustling your dress, ensuring every boutonnière is in place, and even stepping in as a last-minute florist. I'm your unwavering advocate, dedicated to fulfilling your every wish.
My love for photography has deep roots. Growing up, my Dad had a darkroom in our basement where he developed his own film, and I was captivated by the process. My true 'why' revealed itself during high school when I developed a roll of film just two days after my best friend's passing. That roll held the last photo I ever took of him. In that moment, I realized that photography would be the driving force behind my life's work.
More than just a photographer
In case you were wondering. it is pronounced May-gan ;). I am married to my best friend, Jared, who joins me at all of my weddings.
For the last 4 years he has been there to carry around the gear and set up lighting for the reception so I'm able to be the most efficient, and ready to go for all the most important moments. His role evolves based on the wedding, and he's known to become the wedding party chauffeur, snacks and drink fetcher during portraits, hype man to my couples, and second photographer.
We've got four incredible kids between the ages of 16 & 6, two dogs, Cookie & Vinnie, and a Maine Coon named Mini.
