Fall Wedding in Michigan | Holly Hotel
When I first met Leah and Larry, it was downtown Detroit for their engagement session in and around the Eastern Market. They’re a super sweet couple, so obviously in love. They were planning a grand affair at Lafayette Grand in Pontiac, and we were all super pumped!
When COVID hit, things changed. Larry was going to be gone for work, and the Pandemic just made things get a whole lot smaller. So we waited, for months. Leah reached back out to see if I was available to shoot their wedding at the end of October, and I was! Things were perfect! Wedding number two, let’s go! And then.. our sweet Bride, got sick. And we needed to reschedule the wedding, one final time.
Third times a charm, and I truly believe it. They got the most incredible weather, and while there were some hiccups here and there, you would have never known with how composed they were. Things ran amazing, once we got going. They were just excited to marry each other.
We settled for photos in the little alley-way near the Historic Holly Hotel. We found the most adorable little plant shop to do their first look in front of. (oh, darn! haha!)
A huge congratulations to the newlyweds, who were so deserving of the incredible day it was. I couldn’t have been more thrilled to be there and capture this beautiful day. Honestly, working with people like this- fills my cup. And these images, reflect that. They are stunning, (yes- I am proud of these!) and I do my absolute best work when we vibe.
And Leah, don’t forget to always ‘Shake your sprinkles, Cupcake.” <3
So if you want an experience like this, I’ll be here. 😉
